Today, along with some of my friends, I found out that I passed the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant exam! I decided about 3 years ago that I wanted to take it, and here I am. I do not have the time (or won't make the time, whatever) for employment right now, but I'm happy to have the IBCLC exam behind me anyway. I so enjoy helping moms and babies in my volunteer work.
I also got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed today. It hurt. I don't numb easily, but I feel much better now. After the surgery, I was given three prescriptions. I do not like to take medication unless absolutely necessary, so I asked, "I'm breastfeeding, can I take this?" I wanted to find out what I really had to take, and what was extraneous. I found out that I really only need one of the three meds given to me, the antibiotic.
